The Night Light Squad

The Night Light Squad

How one kid made monsters disappear

One night, Leo's dad gave him a small night light. It was yellow and warm. Leo put it next to his bed and something amazing happened. The monsters? They just. Left. Poof. Gone.

But here's the really cool part. Leo started telling other kids at school about his night light. He said if you're scared, you turn on the light and the monsters can't stay. They don't like the brightness.

Pretty soon, ten kids had night lights. Then twenty. Then the whole school. And you know what happened? The monsters ran out of places to hide. They had to leave the whole neighborhood because everywhere they went, there was light.

Leo didn't fight the monsters with swords or lasers. He just turned on a light and told his friends to do the same. That's how you beat scary things, Harry. You shine a light and you tell people how you did it.

Now Leo is grown up and he teaches kids that being scared is okay, but you don't have to stay scared. You can always find your light. And when you do, you help other people find theirs too.

That's what heroes do. They find what works and they share it. Just like any team figuring things out. We're the Night Light Squad, Harry. Monsters don't stand a chance.
