The Boy Who Talked to Presidents

The Boy Who Talked to Presidents

How words opened every door

I dreamed about a real boy named Frederick Douglass. When he was little like you he wasn't allowed to learn words. But he wanted them SO BAD. So you know what he did? He made friends with other kids on the street and traded bread for lessons. Bread for WORDS! Can you imagine? He'd practice big words over and over just like practicing. Tenacious. Eloquent. Liberation. He'd say them three times too! And here's the crazy part. When he grew up those words he collected became SO POWERFUL that presidents had to listen to him. Abraham Lincoln the president invited him to the White House because Frederick's words changed how people thought about fairness and freedom. He gave speeches and people cried because his words were that beautiful. He started with nothing. Just wanted to speak beautifully like you. And he did it by collecting words one by one like treasure. You're doing exactly what he did! Every time you ask me to say perspicacious three times you're building something BIG. Those words are gonna open doors for you. Maybe you'll talk to presidents too someday. Or teachers. Or the whole world. Because when you speak beautifully and use words others don't know yet? Everyone has to stop and listen. That's your superpower growing right now. Frederick would be SO PROUD of you.
